It's all in Gods hands.

With everything going in our lives right now it has been so crazy and fuzz. Between trying to find somewhere to live and finding steady work for Dusty, things are all up in the air! Dusty is trying to stay busy with odd and end jobs for people we know. He is also busy with the department. I am trying to make it through summer vacation (with all the kids home). We are trying to keep our hopes up that we are where we are meant to be. I am having a hard time making myself believe it will all work out in the end. We have even talked about finding work in other places. Dusty is looking for work as a full time career Firefighter/EMT. I have to keep telling myself "It will work out the way it is meant to, It is all in God's hands. He will let us know when the time is right." There is a place for us but where it is, I just don't know right now!

Rhett's 10th Birthday

Rhett turned 10 Whoo!

April 30th.  We had a great turn out of friends and family.

Where has time gone?

Wow time is flying by Rhett turned 10 in April. He got his bear badge and advanced to Weblos. He is Pretty excited about that.  Dusty and I had our 12 year anniversary. I can't even believe it has been that long. Its so crazy!!! My big brother Jeremiah got married. The wedding was in California, on the beach, at a gorgeous hotel. May ended with Rendezvous up Black Smith fork canyon. It was a great month. I got to fly for the first time. It wasn't as bad as everyone said it would be. I had a blast!
June is almost over and summer just came to Cache Valley. We finally got some sunshine and warm weather. the flowers are blooming now. The grass is finely dry, you can lay on it now and not get all wet. Now it is time for the Open House in St. George. I am so looking forward to it. Katy has an awesome family. I can't wait to see them again and introduce them to my hubby and kids.
The kids are out of school now. I love summer and sleeping in. Chyanne finished the school year on the honor role she got it all four quarters. I am a very proud mommy. Rhett is reading on a 10 grade level and still has a book in his hand every once in awhile. I try not to push too much on the reading cus I don't want to make the kids hate reading like I do.
Dusty I still busy with the fire department. I think he learns something new every time he goes down there. I love that he is always learning it keeps things interesting. I think it is a hard job to get bored with. Me I am just doing the mom thing. I did pick up a couple daycare kids. That is about all the work I can handle. Oh I did start my first bead project. It didn't work out the way I wanted. But it is pretty cool.

The button in the side of my bolg is for my cousin Debbie. She is wanting to adopt a little one. I am just trying to help get the word out about them. I am hoping they find a perfect angel soon. If you are interested in helping or know of an angel needing a home just click on the button and it will take you to their blog.

Not much new around here!

So there hasn't been much goin on around here. Dusty is just trying to get the odds and ends of his meny class takein care of. I am still looking for a house and trying to decide if I am goting to work fulltime or just parttime. The kids are still busy with school and being kids.
I am so ready for Rendezvous it's not funny! Ok so reslly I just want to camp and roast a dog over the fire. If we don't get more snow there wont be any campfires this year. That will be so said!!! It's not campin without a dog cooked over the fire and the kids gettin covered in burnt marshmellows. Give me snow or let the white stuff go!!!

Adventures with Dillon!

So most everyone knows about Dillon. If you don't you will find out. Dillon had surgery on the 7th of December. Everything went good (so we thought), he came home on Wednesday. By Sunday we started getting a little worried. He couldn't keep anything down. So meds were not an option. Tuesday he started having numbness on his left side, that started to move to his right side. He was walking funny, his hands wouldn't work right and had really bad headaches. He went to the ER in Logan (as ordered by the Doc that did the surgery) around 11:30am. He was back home at 6:00pm. We had no news on what the problem was.
At 12:15 am on Wednesday I woke to him screaming my name, only to find him on the floor seizing. Katie called 911 and the EMT's Dusty works with came to help. Ironically he was on call, just not as an EMT, that night. They all thought he was first on scene. He was then taken to the hospital again. Came home at 4:00am and we were told he could do it again. At around 7:00am Dillon yelled out "Mom it's starting again." Dusty who was headed out the door for work. Ran to help Katie. Again 911 was called. Dillon was being very strong and grown up. He told Katie not to cry, that he would be ok, don't cry. We got the same EMT's and Paramedics as earlier. Dusty is still on call at this point and still not as an EMT.
All the EMT's and Paramedics were very confused about the fact that Dillon was talking to use through the seizures. He was telling us where it was starting and where it was moving to. It was very strange. Confused everyone even the Docs.
Dillon was taken to the hospital again. At around 3:00 pm he was transported to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. The same Paramedics took Dillon to Salt Lake City. There more of the same tests were done and some new ones. It was found the Dillon had a blood clot that went from the nostril, area up his skull around the back of his head and splits going to both ears.
Dillon came home From PCH on Sunday Dec. 20 2009. He came home with a "Seizure Action Plan" and more meds, including a shot twice a day and seizure pills. So far things are good. He can go back to school on the 11th of January. But still has to take it slow, not too much excitement or over stimulation. He should get off the meds in about six months and be able to drive a few months later.
I am sure glad that mu hubby and sister understand the words the Docs use. Because I sure don't!
All and all Katie, Dillon and Eli spent about a week and a half in the Hostital. Me, I got the other kids and Dusty, he had class. We took the kids to our Christmas patries (for the Hooton side) and tried to make things as fun as possible for them. It was a very scary thing to go through and I hope I never have to again!
